Petro-Nelise Sollé is a Play Therapist with an MA in Play Therapy (Roehampton, London). She has worked in educational settings – mainstream, alternative and additional needs. She has experience in supporting children and families through bereavement, child protection procedures, and transitions – from primary to secondary school, separation and divorce, and illness and recovery. Her client group range in ages from 3 to 13, as well as parents.
She has delivered workshops to parents around therapeutic limit setting, and will be delivering Child-Parent Relationship Training to groups of parents in 2016. This involves meeting with parents who are trained, over 10 weekly sessions, to be therapeutic facilitators of special play-time sessions with their child of focus. The group format enables parents to come together in a group to discuss and address challenges that face most parents in the demanding job that is Parenting.
Petro is also a trained and experienced actor, filmmaker and photographer. She brings her eye for detail and love of story and imagination to her work with families and children.
Her other part-time job is facilitator for a group of home educated children in the Cotswolds which follows a democratic, child-led ethos. She enjoys the overlap of worlds: playing and being alongside the children as they explore their world brings moments of true insight and joy in what it means to be a child.
